KNOX GLASS

Knox Glass began operations on September 15, 2003.  The company was formed at the request of Weather Wise Windows Inc. to aid that company with a Sales and Distribution problem.  In April of 2004 Weather Wise Windows, Inc. divested itself of all employees, and Knox Glass then assumed the manufacturing responsibilities for that company.  At that time, advertising for its retail operation was increased in radio and newspaper ads to further establish its position as a premium Glass Retail Store.

 

On September 2, 2005 Edwin J. Lindsay formed the Illinois S Corporation EDRON, INC. to purchase the property at 831 North Henderson Street, Galesburg, Illinois to expand its retail operations.   This area of Henderson Street is the highest trafficked roadway in Knox County with an estimated 20,600 vehicles in a 24 hour period. 

 

In January of 2007 Vinyl Storm Systems, an Assumed Name of EDRON, Inc. was formed to purchase Weather Wise Windows, Inc.  In July of 2007, Knox Glass ceased operations as a Sole Proprietorship and begin operations as an Assumed Name of EDRON, Inc.  With the purchase of Weather Wise Windows Inc, Vinyl Storm Systems will remain at 602 Hawthorne Court as a wholesale window manufacturer and Knox Glass will move its entire retail business to 831 North Henderson Street once the new building is completed at that site.

 

Knox Glass currently operates as a full service Retail Glass store including residential, commercial and auto glass products, with the additional responsibilities of supervising the new employees in training for Vinyl Storm Systems.  The President of EDRON, Inc. is Edwin J. Lindsay, and the Vice-President is Aaron Tessier and Stacie Lindsay (Edwin's wife) is the Secretary- Treasurer.  

 

The normal operating hours for Knox Glass are Monday thru Friday 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 6:30 AM until Noon.   Sales and service appointments are available during normal business hours and by appointment 7 days a week.  A 24-hour emergency telephone service is available through the normal business phone number, and the company is on 24-hour emergency call for break-ins and board-ups with the City of Galesburg Police Department.
